In 1982, she recorded her first song, <i>Mawwal Al-Hob <\/i>(A Love Song in colloquial language)<i>. <\/i>In 1985, she won the Moroccan Song Prize, with the great single, <i>Khouyi <\/i>(Little Brother). As an emblematic figure in Moroccan song, Latifa Raafat has one of the most enchanting discographies, with such titles as <i>Maghyara <\/i>(Envious Am I), <i>Dunia <\/i>(O World), <i>Al-Hamdu Li-Lah <\/i>(Praise be to Allah), <i>Ya Hli <\/i><i>Ya `Ashrani <\/i>(O my Folk, O my Kin), and <i>Ana fi Arak Ya Yamma <\/i>(Shield me against Disgrace, O Mother).
