Cheba Maria, a Rai singer, is a native of Casablanca and a resident of Toulouse. She has quickly carved a place for herself in the artistic milieu. Cheba Maria has produced a number of successful titles and made her appearance beside several Rai artists on a number of occasions. Her duo with Cheb Rachid, Enta Ould Bladi (You’re my Countryman) was sold in several thousand copies in different countries. In 2003, she contributed to the album Rain’b Fever, where she sang in duo with Mohamed Lamine and Rohff. More than 250,000 copies of the Opus were sold and the artist received the first Golden Record from Sony Music Company.
