As a committed and dandy rapper, Baloji cultivates a mixed style and often collaborates with the most prominent artists. Poet, composer-songwriter, screenwriter, comedian, performer, videographer and stylist, this young man with multiple talents, was born in Congo then left for Belgium at the age of four. To his credit are two major albums (Impala) released in 2008 and (Kinshasa Succursale) in 2011. In terms of style, he is at a crossroads of influences between traditional and Afro-American music (soul, funk, jazz), discovered through the culture of sampling and electronics.
