Long known as the blind couple of Mali, Amadou and Mariam have been performing together for nearly thirty years. After establishing a reputation in Africa, the duo finally broke onto the international music scene in two stages, first with the hit single “Mon amour, ma chérie” in 1998. They then confirmed their new star status in 2004 with the album “Dimanche à Bamako”, produced by Manu Chao. Amadou & Mariam’s adventure continues with more successes with two new albums promoting citizens’ most cherished and deeply held values: solidarity, love and tolerance.
