Born in Casablanca, Hassan Boussou was educated according to the precepts of the Gnawa tradition by his father, the late Maâlem Hmida Boussou. He collaborated with big names of Jazz such as Michel Alibo, Bojan Z and Julien Lourau. He created Séwaryé, a Gnawa fusion group that performed around the world. Winner of the Unesco-Aschberg Fellowship, Hassan Boussou is sought to participate in many artistic projects with Loy Ehrlich and Louis Bertignac.
