Born in Marrakech, Tahour is one of the most popular Moroccan singers of Chaabi (Grass root) music. He attended school in the ocher city, and then went on to study music at the National Institute of Music in Marrakech. This training enabled him to rub shoulders with masters of Moroccan folk music with whom he collaborated in several events and concerts. Tahour has earned a certain reputation in Morocco as well as in other European countries. His concerts and evenings were released in more than 15 albums.
